How green are your third party resources?

the-sustainable.dev member Fershad Irani has developed a new tool to specifically test how green your third party website resources are.

Third party resources are a big deal. Over 94% of sites use at least one third-party resource. That’s over 45% of all website requests (2021 Web Almanac: Third Parties).

As Fershard puts it, That’s a fair chunk of overall website traffic originating from shared, public origins.

You may be unaware of how many third-party resources may be being loaded on your site and where they are being loaded from. Aiming to create as green a website as possible, it makes great sense to test specifically how green those third party resources are.

You can test your own website using Fershad’s tool on aremythirdpartiesgreen.com
